Wireless devices have become such a big part of our lives. With laptop, tablet and smartphone technology these days we can be connected to the internet 24/7 if we want to. It has changed the way we do business, the way we learn and the way we communicate. These wireless devices come with some pretty hefty price tags too. Something this important to you needs to be cared for properly so today I’m going to share How to Clean your Laptop and other wireless devices.Disclosure: This is a sponsored post however all opinions and words are my own.
When I’m not sharing tasty recipes with all of you here on Family Table Treasures I run a residential cleaning service. I have been cleaning people’s homes for about 12 years now and have used many different cleaning products. I definitely have some favorites. The one area that’s always an issue though is when it comes to cleaning wireless devices and electronics. Your television and computer screens need to be cared for with much different products than your normal household multipurpose cleaners. T.V. screen cleaners and computer cleaners like Wireless Wipes are specially formulated so they will not damage these expensive electronic devices.
How to Clean your Laptop
You should never spray anything directly on any wireless device or electronic product. We all know what happens when your cell phone meets up with water. Yes….the dreaded bag of rice that you need to submerge your phone in, in hopes that it will absorb the moisture before it has caused permanent damage. You definitely don’t want to be purposely spraying it with any kind of liquid cleaner.
Buffing your wireless device with a “soft” dry cloth is ok but it really doesn’t get rid of the fingerprints or “Germs”. Yes…Germs! Did you know that they have done studies that show that some people’s cell phones harbor more germs than a toilet! Eeeew! Not to mention your computer’s keyboard and mouse. I know…You want to stop scrolling right now don’t you? It’s ok, just make sure you wash your hands when you’re done and order some wireless wipes to get all your wireless devices sparkling clean…without damaging them!
Whenever cleaning your screen don’t apply too much pressure to the screen surface. Most flat screens have pixels under their surface that can be damaged if too much pressure is applied to them.
So…how come you can’t just use regular glass cleaner or a multi purpose cleaner? Most every flat screen has special coatings added to their surface such as anti-reflective coatings. These coatings can be damaged from the chemicals in these household cleaners so it’s a big “no no” to use it on them. I know from my years as a practicing licensed optician what happens when you clean an anti-reflective coated surface with them. The first couple times you may not notice anything but eventually the harsh chemicals in these household products slowly eat away at the coating. I had many customers come back with coatings that had slowly been eaten away by the use of regular household cleaners on their lenses.
The chemical formulators at Wireless Wipes spent two years developing their specialized formula that dramatically reduces your exposer to potentially harmful germs. It’s safe to use on all electronics, eyeglasses and even your camera lens! It’s fast drying, non streaking and non corrosive. I felt like I got a brand new laptop after I used it on mine! I love the natural scents that they come in too. The green tea cucumber towelettes are scented with lemon and lime oil terpenes. Fresh, clean and natural!
I hope this helped you learn How to Clean your Laptop and all of your wireless devices! Have you been caring for them properly? Make sure you’re using computer screen wipes or flat screen cleaner on all your wireless devices! It’s the best way to care for them and get rid of germs!
