Ingredients
1 1/2CupsAll-purpose flour
1/2CupUnsweetened cocoa powder
1teaspoonBaking powder
1teaspoonSalt
2CupsSemisweet chocolate chips
3/4CupUnsalted buttersoftened
1 1/2CupsPacked light brown sugar
3LargeEggs
1teaspoonVanilla extract
1CupSemisweet chocolate chips or white chocolate chips,or go crazy and do half and half!
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F.
In a medium bowl stir flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt together. Set aside.
In the top of a double boiler over simmering water melt 2 cups of chocolate chips with 2 tablespoons of butter until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
In a large mixing bowl combine remaining butter and sugar and beat for 2 minutes until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time mixing well between each addition. Beat in the melted chocolate and vanilla and mix well.
Gradually add flour mixture and beat on low speed until mixed well. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an un-greased cookie sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes. Cool for two minutes then remove cookies to cooling rack to cool completely.
