This Greek Layer Dip combines layers of a Greek seasoned cream cheese, hummus, cucumber, tomato, feta and is finally finished with a sprinkle of chopped green onion. Serve it with fresh veggies or pita chips and watch it disappear!
1,8 ounce containerHummus, (I used plain but you can choose your favorite flavor)
1CupCucumbers,chopped
1,8 ounce containerCherry tomatoes, diced
1CupCrumbled feta cheese
Juice from one lemon
2teaspoonsGreek seasoning,I used mcCormick
1Scallion,diced
Instructions
In a small mixing bowl, mix cream cheese with lemon juice and greek seasoning. Spread in the bottom of a shallow dish. A pie plate or 9x9 baking dish would work. I used a long white serving dish that I had. Next spread hummus over the cream cheese. Add a layer of chopped cucumbers, diced tomatoes then top with the feta and scallion.
** You can chop all of your veggies and have your cream cheese mixture pre made, however you really don't want to put everything together until a few hours before serving. The cucumbers and tomatoes become watery and will make your dip too soupy. Once everything is chopped and mixed, it can be put together very quickly right before serving.
