Ingredients
6PoundsMacintosh apples,peeled,cored and chopped
1CupApple cider or juice,water can also be used
1/2-3/4CupBrown sugar
1/2teaspoonCinnamon,optional
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes until the apples are softened and juices thicken.
Remove from heat and cool. At this point you can blend in a food processor or blender for a smooth applesauce or leave as is for a chunky style sauce.
