  • 1 ,15 ounce can Chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 Small Ripe avocados
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons Tahini
  • 4 Tablespoons Fresh lime juice ,about 2 limes depending on how juicy they are
  • 4 Tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 Clove Garlic
  • 1/8 teasoons Cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • Olive oil and crushed red pepper for topping
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh cilantro ,chopped


  • In food processor or high powered blender such as vitamix or ninja, place chick peas, olive oil, garlic, tahini and lime juice. Blend on high for 2-3 minutes scraping sides periodically. Add avocado,cumin, salt and pepper and blend for another 3-5 minutes until smooth and creamy. Scrape the sides periodically to make sure all the chunks get processed.
  • Place in serving dish, drizzle with olive oil and top with crushed red pepper and chopped cilantro.
