Swirls of buttery cinnamon sugar stream through super moist Banana Bread. You won’t believe how easy and delicious this Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread is to make!

Cinnamon Swirl Banana BreadIt just doesn’t seem possible that something this delicious is so easy to make.

Have you ever made my Easy Banana Bread recipe? It’s my go to recipe whenever I have some overripe bananas calling my name.

The reason it’s my go to recipe is two reasons.

  1. It’s unbelievably delicious
  2. It’s super quick and easy to make.

Today we decided to add a bit of a twist to that recipe. Don’t worry this recipe is still super easy and super delicious!

What makes this Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread so good?

In my opinion there are a couple of things that put this Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread recipe over the top.

  1. First of all it doesn’t just have one skimpy little swirl of cinnamon sugar. The cinnamon swirl in this banana bread is added in layers for maximum cinnamon swirl deliciousness.
  2. The bananas are soaked in strong coffee which gives it a great boost of flavor and adds to the breads moistness.

Why should you use overripe bananas in your Banana Bread?

Overripe bananas are much easier to mash up and they mix into your batter more uniformly. Also, overripe bananas are more aromatic and have a sweeter flavor. As a banana ripens more of the starch is converted into sugar. This gives your Banana Bread some great natural sweetness.

Another great tip for making the most delicious Banana Bread with overripe bananas.

Peel your overripe bananas, place them in a zip lock baggie and freeze them. Once you are ready to use them thaw them completely and add them to your batter. They will be very soupy and may not look very a…ppeal…ing to eat, however that stuff is liquid gold in your Banana Bread!

How to store Banana Bread

Banana Bread can be stored at room temperature for 2-3 days. Just wrap it in plastic wrap or store it in an air tight container.  You can also store it in the fridge for up to 1 week. To freeze your banana bread, wrap it in plastic wrap and then place in a zip lock baggie. It can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.
