This 3 ingredient Homemade Strawberry Sauce is the perfect topping for ice cream, waffles, pancakes and cakes.
Making homemade fruit sauce is one of the easiest things to do and is so much tastier than store bought sauce. Just place your ingredients in a sauce pan and let it simmer until it’s done. Simple. In just minutes you have a succulent sauce that will turn a boring dessert into something spectacular!
I love using fruit sauce to dress up desserts like the fresh Blueberry Sauce that I used to top my Blueberry & Cheese Coffee Cake. Sure the coffee cake was delicious on its own but the sauce brought the deliciousness to a whole other level.
I made this Homemade Strawberry Sauce as a topping for the Belgium Waffles that I made for Easter Brunch. I really wanted the Brunch to be special so I didn’t skimp on anything and you certainly can’t have Belgium Waffles without Strawberry Sauce and whipped cream now can you. It was so quick and easy to make and it totally put those Belgium Waffles over the top delicious!
It’s so good you may not have left overs but if your lucky enough to scrape up the last few morsels pour them into a sealed container and store them in the fridge. When you get that midnight craving try drizzling the last of it on a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It will make that midnight binge totally worth it!
