Do you have someone on your Christmas list that’s impossible to buy for? Sometimes a handmade gift… like this Memory Tree can be the best gift of all!
My Mom made this thoughtful gift for my sister’s birthday this year and I loved it so much I just had to share it with you. My sister has a December birthday so this festive gift, celebrating the memories of Christmas past was perfect!
She gathered together as many Christmas pictures as she could find and chose her favorites.
Then she made photo copies on photo paper so she could cut and embellish them while keeping the original in tack.
She cut each photo in different shapes to resemble ornaments and added a little glittery trim to frame each picture.
She punched a small hole at the top of each one and tied a string through the hole for hanging.
I love that she found a miniature vintage silver foil tree just like the one from the picture. Such great memories of the way Christmas was celebrated many years ago.
This will be the first Christmas that our family will spend without both of my grandparents with us. This tree is a great way to have them with us in spirit and keep their memory alive. My sister was so close to them, I know how much this Memory Tree is going to mean to her.
Sharing the memories of Christmas past Memory Tree. Who will you touch this Christmas with a gift from the heart?

What a lovely tree! My Mother does a similar thing for her tree. Whenever I see the tree it always makes me teary eyed. In my opinion there really is no better way to decorate a tree than with visual memories of love. Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas! I’m sharing on Facebook!

Thanks Tiffany! I agree. I remember one year that my Mom placed pictures on our tree. Everyone at our annual open house party loved seeing all the old pictures of Christmas’ Past. Definitely the best decorations!
