My favorite Summer fruit has made it’s way into this sensational Peach Mousse {with Tequila}. The added flavoring of Tequila and Triple sec make it the perfect ending to your next adult dinner party!
Last week I shared the gourmet spread that I came home from work to. It began with a light and refreshing Spinach & Arugula Salad {with Orange Balsamic Vinaigarette}.
The main course was an amazing Seared Roast Duck Breast {with Cherry Port Wine Sauce}.
Today I finally get to share the ending to this magnificent meal with you. Peach Mousse {with Tequila}!
I’m sure you’ll agree it’s always nice to come home to a delicious dinner after a long day. You can imagine my surprise when I came home to this one! And it wasn’t even a special occasion!
Peach Mousse {with Tequila}
Ingredients
- 4-6 Peaches ,peeled,pitted and cut
- 1/4 Cup Tequila
- 1/2 Cup Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Triple sec
- 3 Large Egg whites
- 1 1/2 Cups Heavy cream
Instructions
- Place peaches in a heavy saucepan with sugar and tequila and triple sec. Bring to a boil then reduce heat. Cook stirring occasionally. About 30-45 minutes until it forms a paste. Let cool completely. Once cooled place mixture in food processor or blender and blend until smooth. About 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
- In a large bowl whip egg whites to form stiff peaks. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl whip heavy cream. Set aside.
- Fold cooled peach mixture into egg whites.
- Fold whipped heavy cream into peach/egg white mixture.
- Pour into serving dishes and cover with a piece of plastic wrap.
- Chill in refrigerator for several hours or overnight.
- Garnish with a peach slice and mint leaf.
Nutrition
All of the alcohol in this Peach Mousse {with Tequila} does completely get boiled out of the dessert. If you still prefer not to add the alcohol that’s fine too. Just eliminate it from the recipe.
