I finally made it to the orchard this past weekend! And just in time to share one of my favorite fall recipes with all of you. {Waters Farm} Apple Crisp!
This recipe holds so many fun family memories for me. Every year on the first weekend of October our family and pretty much the whole town enjoys the festivities of a little hidden gem in our town. Waters Farm (a hilltop homestead built in 1757 by Stephen Waters) was donated to the town of Sutton back in 1974 by Dorothea Waters Moran and is listed on the National registry of historic places. Many events are held here throughout the year but the biggest is Waters Farm Days which is coming up this weekend! My family has been going to and volunteering at this fun fall festival for many years now. If you live near the Southern New England area or plan on being nearby on October 4th or 5th this year, you should stop by and enjoy the festivities. There will be hay rides, tractor pulls, demonstrations, farm equipment and machinery on display,an antique gun display, maple sugaring demonstration, lumberjack show and much much more! Enjoy the breathtaking views, listen to the K Street Saxophone Players and fill your belly with delicious treats like their famous {Waters Farm} Apple Crisp! Just in case you are too far to make the trip I am sharing this amazing recipe with you today. Enjoy!

Wow – that looks so good! My kids love apple crisp. Actually I think we all like crisps better than the pie (not that we would turn down either!). Sharing!!
