I spend 90 percent of my time in my kitchen so it’s important to me to make sure I have the right Kitchen tools to make my life easier! There are certain ones that I use everyday and I don’t know what I’d do without them. I’m constantly whipping something up in my kitchen. Especially now that I have a food blog! Since Christmas is right around the corner I thought it would be a good time for me to share My Favorite Kitchen Tools with you!
My Favorite Kitchen Tools!
If you bake a lot like I do then you absolutely need a good stand mixer! I have had my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer for 24 years! Yup! The same one! I can’t even tell you how many cakes, cupcakes, breads and pies have come out of my little 5 quart mixer! I’ve even made 6 tier Wedding Cakes with it! Right out of my little home kitchen! Twenty four years and it’s still going strong! Mom has the 6 quart Kitchen Aid Mixer in her kitchen and loves it just as much. So my number 1 must have kitchen tool is definitely my Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer!
My second favorite kitchen tool is… you guessed it….my Hand Held Kitchen Aid Mixer! I do so much baking that sometimes I have many things going at the same time. I use my hand mixer for all sorts of things from whipping cream or mashing potatoes to mixing cookie dough. Yup! It’s powerful enough to even mix cookie dough! So if you are tight on space in your kitchen this little Hand Held Kitchen Aid Mixer is the perfect solution!
One of my family’s favorite things to make everyday are Smoothies! My old blender made it so difficult to get a nice smooth texture that I don’t even think you could call the blended concoction that came out of it a “Smoothie”! It was chunky and it took forever to blend because I had to keep stopping to stir it.
One of the best Christmas gifts that I’ve received is my Ninja Blender! My son and daughter chipped in together a couple years ago to buy it for me. It was the perfect gift because we all use it all of the time! I even use it in place of my food processor sometimes and I love the single serve blender attachment for when I’m just making myself one of my “healthy smoothies”. It’s a great way for me to portion how much to make. I love my Ninja Blender so much that I even bought one for my sister as a Christmas Gift last year!
Every kitchen needs a good non stick pan. If you’ve ever tried make crepes or a fried egg on something not so non stick you know the damage that can be done! Over the years my teflon pan surfaces all broke down to the point that they did not work anymore and was not very healthy. I tried ceramic but didn’t have much luck with them. Then last Christmas my son bought me the best non stick pan ever! My Cuisinart Anodized Pan is one year old and still like new! We use it daily and the surface is still perfect. It has definitely been the best non stick fry pan I have ever owned. I love that it has a nice flat bottom so it sits well on my glass top surface for even heating. I also love that I can go from stove top to oven without worrying about damaging it.
When I have big kitchen chopping jobs to do…especially around the Holidays I really rely on my Cuisinart Food Processor! The time that I save on prepping gives me more time to spend with family enjoying the holidays! It’s great when I make my Baked Winter Squash Soup or Tuscan Bean Soup!
When I have small chopping jobs…the one I do on a daily basis. I need my Pampered Chef Kitchen Chopper! My kitchen chopper is about 15 years old now and is something that I use everyday for small jobs. I don’t know about you but I have and extreme eye sensitivity to chopping onions. I can’t chop an onion without my eyes turning into Niagara Falls! My Kitchen Chopper allows me to chop and mince my onions without shedding one tear!
When it comes time to cook a roast or bird I would be lost without my Digital Meat Thermometer! I can bake a cake perfectly like nobody’s business but when it comes to cooking meats I tend to over cook everything! Well…until my son bought me this guy! You just insert it into the thickest part of your meat, set it for the temperature you want and then it alerts you when it’s ready! No more overcooked meat for me!
Have you ever used a dull potato peeler? It’s not a fun job to peel five pounds of potatoes with a dull peeler is it? I have cursed many potato peelers until I bought my CUTCO Potato Peeler! It is the only one that I have ever owned that really works! It has made my life much easier and peeling potatoes, carrots and even butternut squash a breeze!
One of the most tedious jobs for me is peeling, coring and cutting apples. I love apple pie, crisp and bread but sometimes I’m just not up to all that work. I’m not sure if I’d make apple pie or apple crisp without my Pampered Chef Apple Peeler Corer Slicer! Ok…maybe I would but I definitely make them more often with this awesome Kitchen Tool. I love how sturdy it is. Mine has peeled, cored and sliced bushels and bushels of apples of the past 15 + years. I prefer to just attach mine right to the counter though. It gives me more control. This is definitely a must have Kitchen Tool if you love apple pie!
The last must have of My Favorite Kitchen Tools is a nice set of Corning Ware! Nothing fancy…just plain French White Corning Ware! I love how versatile it is. I can cook on my stovetop, pop it in the oven or reheat in the microwave all in the same dish! The French White color is perfect for everyday cooking and serving as well as a more elegant Holiday spread. I think I have every size and shape pan they make! I’ve owned most of them for over 24 years and they still look like new! Beautiful bright white! No scratches or burnt baked on stains! I love my Corning Ware!
Do you have Favorite Kitchen Tools that you can’t live without? I’d love to hear what your favorites are. Christmas is coming and I need to make my Christmas list!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and personal experience with your favorite kitchen tools. I am in agreement with all of these kitchen tools and the only ones I do not have as yet is the digital meat themometer ( I should put that on my Christmas list) nor the Cuisinart Food Processor (which seems like it is one of those
“must have” tools in the kitchen. This is a great list especially for someone just starting out (or if the time has come to replace)

There are some great tools listed here. My kitchen aid and ninja are two of the best things i’ve ever gotten myself. I’ll have to check some of these others out, thanks for the list!
