All the delicious flavors of guacamole in a smooth and creamy Avocado Hummus!
Paul and I were invited to our friends’ house for a Fourth of July party over this past weekend. It was a small dinner party with a few other couples and our hosts were serving their famous Margaritas and Chicken Fajitas! Definitely some of the best I’ve ever tasted!
I made my Berrylicious {Fruit Pizza} for dessert but I also wanted to bring something to share as an appetizer that kept with the whole Mexican theme so I brought this delicious smooth and creamy Avocado Hummus.
I love the lime and avocado flavors that come through in this tasty dip. The added bit of spiciness from the garlic and crushed red pepper flakes bring the flavor to a whole other level of amazingness!
Paul isn’t generally a big fan of hummus but he was going in for seconds and thirds of this one. He gave it the thumbs up and by the end of the night it was almost completely wiped out!
I’m not sure why I don’t make my own hummus more often. It’s so easy to make. You just whip everything up in your blender or food processor in about 5 minutes and it tastes a hundred times better than most store bought hummus!
It’s also a great app to serve to your gluten intolerant friends. Just serve it with gluten free crackers or (my favorite way) veggies!
