One of Dad’s favorite past times was eating! He loved food and he definitely had his favorites. Today I’m rounding up Dad’s Favorite {Family Table Treasures} Recipes! Enjoy!
Dad was the oldest of eight children. His mother was an incredible cook and feeding that many mouths was no easy task! So it goes without saying that some of his favorite recipes were ones from his childhood.
Dad met Mom and they fell in love. No doubt she must have found the way to his heart through his stomach! Mom inherited her great ability to cook from her mother and the great recipes continued. Dad began to find more favorite recipes that his new bride began to cook for him.
Chicken and Dumplings {with white wine}
{Kielbasa Filled} Potato Dumplings
Chicken Wings Recipe {Soy Sauce}
Dad’s favorite thing of all was dessert! There was always room for dessert! Sometimes if there wasn’t a dessert made he would make his own. He loved to take left over rice, pour cream over it and sprinkle the top with brown sugar. I always gave him a strange look at that one and it never quite caught on with the rest of the family but he sure did love it. I guess it was his version of a rice pudding.
You could go through all of the dessert recipes here on Family Table Treasures and he pretty much loved them all but these next few are his all time favorites!
Dad loved to go out for dinner. One of his favorite treats was to go to our local Japanese restaurant. He would always order his favorite mixed drink. Mai Tais! I made him a batch this past Fathers Day as a special treat.
